To be fair, id hasnt said anything about when its coming out to the public. The only release dates have come from retailers guessing when it is coming out so they can get more preorders. id has stuck with the "when its ready" since the start and id rather wait for it to actually be ready than to get a game that sucks and needs to be patched as soon as you install it just to get it to play right.
