Okay... assuming what you mean is that you can't access a networked PC (folder or files) via LAN, then you have some basic networking issues... you need to ensure that both PCs are in the same work group, that both PCs have a computer name (best if no spaces or odd characters in the PC's name), that you have a user account (both username and password... IDENTICAL) on both PCs, and, finally, that you have shared the drive(s) and/or folder(s). When you get the username/password prompt, just enter one of the accounts that you created.

I only suggested "workgroups" and left out any discussion of domain servers, because most home network folks don't bother to create a domain server.
