Haha Pshawn, you giving basketball advice now?

Last time I saw you take a jumpshot, it went over the backboard...

Anyway, for the original poster. Just make sure your feet are set evenly apart, with your right foot a little bit ahead of your left foot (other way around if left-handed).

I'm going to be assuming you're right-handed

Hold the ball in the center of your righthand with your fingers spaced out.

Now place your left hand on the side of the ball.

(At this point your left thumb should be the top of a "T" and your right thumb should be the bottom of the "T")

Your left hand is more or less a guide for the ball.

It's hard to explain by typing. The best way to do it is to just play with a couple friends or go to the gym and play a couple pickup games and ask them for some help.
