Generic Host Process for Win32 services...I've tried everything!

Hi, I'm new...I read the New User thread and I'll try to provide as much info as possible:

-I have no idea what a motherboard is, so I can't tell you which one I have.
-I'm running Windows XP Home Edition, and there are two usernames. I also have a cable internet connection.
-I have tried the Microsoft Sasser Worm removal (we didn't have the worm), I have tried to detect the Blaster worm and all its variants (I found nothing), and I removed all my SpyWare with Ad-aware 6.0. I also ran the McAfee Virus scan, and nothing turned up.
-All USB port things are running normally.
-I've used the Search feature and the solutions provided for similar problems, but no beans.

THE PROBLEM: The computer will work fine until a second user tries to sign on and go online. The message that pops up:
Generic Host Process for Win32 services has encountered a problem and needs to close.

If you click for more information, it says:
szAppName: SVCHOST.EXE
szAppVer: 5.1.2600.0
sz ModName:ntdll.dll
szModVer:5.1.2600.1217

If you switch to the other user, a message pops up that says:
The system is shutting down.
NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Remote procedure call service terminated unexpectedly.
*There is a 60 second countdown until the computer restarts.*

If you terminate the shutdown by going to Run, typing CMD and clicking OK, and by typing shutdown.exe -a and pressing Enter, the computer will not shut down but copy and paste options will be disabled and internet links will not open.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Need more information? Thanks.
