well, i'm an engineering major, and into that major, i need some programs for classes that don't always have a trial version :-/ some buddies told me about this, so i want to see if i can get these programs for a little bit so i can do the assignments. granted i could always go to one of the labs, but the way i see it, if they're making us learn the basics of these programs, i might as well explore them more so that i'll be ready when i come across these in a job, u know? cant do that at the lab :-/ not open late enough, u know? and in case u're wondering what kind of programs i'm talking about, i mean programs like cad and labview which cost a couple k's which as a college student i can't afford...u'know?
