step 1...make sure the firewall is off....right click the connection...properties...advanced...uncheck the firewall...

try to ipconfig /renew again...if that doesnt do it check back and there is more stuff to try

I was going to next suggest the same thing "oops" did..from that same page with those weird commands, lol-----

Open a CMD prompt.

Type netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt and press Enter, to reset the TCP/IP protocol
