This is what I am talking about. You can see even the most powerful FX (the 5950) falls victim to the 9800 PRO at higher levels in DX9 games. Even on lower resolutions. Don't waste your money on an FX. If you're spending anywhere near $200 buy a Radeon 9800 PRO for around $180-190. And if you're buying a good video card to run Doom 3 and Far Cry get a good video card now. Why spend $150-200 only to have to upgrade later. You could wait for the 512 mb video cards this fall but imo, I would just get a 6800 GT and be done with it.
