I just realized that if I disable SETI it doesn't lag. I've never had to turn SETI off for any other games or other things before....another one of the cons of The Sims 2 is that it doesn't like dual monitor setups...I have to go through the hassle of disabling the second monitor. I complained about it and am hoping that they might fix it. I doubt it though.
