I had the same problem. First clear everything out of which ever browser you use. Then click start, control panel, network and internet connections, network connections, right click on LAN, click repair. Power cycle the modem before you hook it back up to your system also. Did you happen to install XP2? I had this problem 3 times with the update before it finally took. Worse comes to worse, there is always System Restore.
