haha, i just want to be able to take a hdd and boot in in a different system, like, say, i dont have a network connection at home, but im going somewhere that does. i would want to use my hdd to boot from, and operate on the net, instead of slaving to their master, and not being able to access my own programs or whatnot. what information is stored to a hdd that tells the os trying to load that it is installed to a different motherboard?
