Well, over thanksgiving dinner tonight, I talked to all of my family members about what I want for christmas. I told them I just want 2 things, and that they can all pitch in together so it won't be to expensive for just one person. My present of choice is of course a 64bit CPU and mobo.

So, my current pick is an AMD 3000+ 939 chip with a Soltek mobo. Is soltek any good? It got 5/5 stars on newegg.

Does anyone else recommend a cheaper solution? I want a 939, as a 754 3000+ is only $1 less than the 939 version.

You can recommend any other online stores along as its good as newegg.
