That get your product key online thing sounds like a real scam to me. You should be able to contact Microsoft and, since it's already registered, just give them some info like your name and such and they should cough up your product key (or give you a new one). I don't really know since I've never lossed my registration info before. If you have the software installed on your computer, you can use license detection software like Lavalys Everest (http://lavalys.com/products.php?lang=en) to find the product key.
