Overheating (Asus), disassembling

Hello,

I`ve got a major problem with my Asus l3800c laptop.
The average cpu-temperature is 55 celsius when idle for a few minutes.
This is way too high for an idle cpu I think. When I run a game or another
relatively heavy app the temperature shoots up like crazy
and the computer shuts down to prevent the cpu from overheating.

Anyone who knows this problem? Any solutions?

My guess is that there is dust in the laptop. I`d like to clean
this, but I don`t know how to open it up. There is a button plate (right next
to the screen) which can be removed I guess. But I don`t know where
to begin, afraid to break the plate. Any tips?

Thanks in advance,

Joop
