I would check and see if your video acceleration is enabled.

In WinXP... I think it's in control panel -> system -> performance somewhere. It's a little slider that lets you turn it up or down, see if it's all the way down.

. Best ever. But if you want to use Mozilla, all I can say is: anything but IE.
