McDonald's agrees to pay $8.5 million to settle a lawsuit based on their use of unhealthy trans fatty acids in their vegetable oils. $7 million goes to the American Heart Association and $1.5 million will be spent on public notices and education. No one gets rich and some good is done. That's the way it should always work.
