disable cpu fan error

Hi
I have a asus k8vse deluxe and I am useing a fan controller to controll my cpu fan instead of the plug on the motherboard. The problem I am having is that when I boot up my pc I get a error that I had a cpu fan error press F1 to continune. Once I press F1 everything goes fine but it is just anoying every boot up to hit F1 to contine. I have looked in the bios but could not find any thing to disable the error. So I am asking for your help if there is something you can suggest or have to to stop this error from coming up.

Also where is the best place to put the thermal sensor on the cpu? Currently I just stuck it in the middle of my heatsinks fins. Just was suggestions where to put it to get accurate readings.

Thanks
Rick
