Thanks for the update. The picture of that adapter you linked from Microcenter made me realize that I just tossed one of those away a few weeks ago when I stripped down an old 386 computer.

(Didn't think I'd ever need something like that)

Oh, well - I solved the problem by getting a new printer w/USB connectivity (actually, my company bought it for me, since I mainly use it for work)
