Just ranting, so don`t let me bring ya` down.

Yet another year down, and another bad eval out of the way. Man this stuff is getting to me.

For those that don`t know, if you`re in the Military, you`re subject to a yearly evaluation by your supervisors; a lot like other jobs, but it`s how we get promoted. I just received mine for the past years work, and it was pretty much crap all around.

The boss people have their favorite little arse kissers, and that`s who they give the good points too, and since everything is based on a quota system there`s only a few golden step children that can be perfect... Aparently, I`m at the bottom of that quota. The others that are "perfect" don`t do ANYTHING, except abuse the system, take half days, read their E-mails, etc. etc. etc.

I can tell you that I am an OUTSTANDING worker. I like working. I never complain, even jump at opportunity to work harder and be tested. Heck, I even want to go to the war zone before this is all over and done with in a year so I have stuff to tell the kids and grandkids... But now all that I can tell them, is that I worked until my body ached MANY MANY MANY times only to realize that none of it really mattered.

I`ve been denied leave a few times, and lost it at the end of the year, since I`m always "too invaluable to loose" - er, wait... That`s until the Evals come around, and then I`m simply sub-par. For instance, however, I was set to leave on the first part of April, on my way to a new command in San Diego from where I`m at in Japan right now. ER. HOLD ON THERE MISTER... We need you around until almost the end of the month, since we failed to properly provide more licensed people with the training required to do pretty much anything.

Honestly, I know I`m not perfect. I`ve never became anybody`s "Yes" man, nor climbed so far up other peoples behinds that I can`t find my own feet. Maybe that`s my problem. Maybe I should just become transparent, with no spine.

Personnaly, I don`t think it`s possible. But I can honestly tell you that I HATE this military.
