Does ur laptop have a burner or network port? Just curious. Any reason why you didn't back all that up first?
You'll need to connect the old HDD to something. Be it a desktop, other notebook or swap the HDDs back the way they were, back up what data you want and then swap them again. If you want to connect it to a desktop, you'll need an adapter. http://www.pctoys.com/840556021070.html
