Yea, I have a Geforce FX 5200 128mb really bad at any game past 2002. For example bf2 at 1024x768 at all low and turned off, still lags from time to time. Although I am getting another stick of 512 ram I hope will help. I used to be a hardcore gamer, but school and a life has taken over that, and I maybe only have time to play for a long time is during weekend's. I found a 6800GT for $290 (CDN) and a 7800GS for $299 (CDN)...So based on this I'll go for the 7800 GS. Unless there is some unseen force in the cosmo's, that say otherwise. Well, thanks for the reply. As I also have to buy a new PSU for the 7800GS which is 400W Minimum, now I have to shell out another 50-100$ (CDN), can't wait for that.
On the other hand, NightRise420, or any others for that matter, how do you know it isn't that GPU demanding? (Do you have any information on that or any articles to support this theory or statement.) Does it mean its dependant on my CPU and RAM? Should I be concentrating on more RAM than 1GB, or is that enough? Or am I misunderstaing something. I mean I just want this video card to hold out until the AMD M2 Mobo's come out. Then with Vista comes the new DX10, which will be just peachy considering the new video cards that will come out for that. Sigh, I'm starting to regret all this money wasted, due to the important fact of wasting money, when computers get updated every day -- well enough of my rambling. Good night.
