Hi guys, this is a bit of a strange request but i'm wondering if anyone could direct me to a download link for a program that is capable of conducting a denial of service attack. Preferrably something that will run on a windows based machine.
I am putting together an esay on securing servers and i need to include a practical example of an attack on a server. I know i would require many machines to conduct a DDos attack but i just need to simulate the attack more than actually carry one out.
I have a network of 4 pc's at home, one is a sever running Ubuntu another is a Smoothwall Nat and both others are XP machines.
I have been recommended programs such as Trinoo and Smurf but i have been unable to locate them for download on the net. If someone knows of a link to a download site for these applications could you please pm me or reply.
