If you pulled the link off of the entertainment section right to the desktop and it was wiped
by either dragging to the R.Bin or right clicked to delete and the bin was emptied a reinstall
of the recorder may have to be performed to replace it. If you are currently running XP you
could look into the unused desktop folder to see if desktop cleanup had just been run on an
automatic schedule. If not unchecked that MS background service will run every 30 days. If
you see this folder on the desktop look in there. With multiple user accounts try each one to
see if one there has made created. The last option to simply create a destop shortcut is a
simple browse in the "C:\Windows\system32\" folder to locate the sndrec32.exe file. By the
right click on the executable you can create a new shortcut. That could be used temporarily
until and if? the original is found.
