aH! i FIGURED YOUR GRAPHICS CHIP DIDN'T SUPPORT THE NATIVE RESOLUTION OF THW MONITO(whoops!--caps lock), but you might try to downgrade the resolution in Display (Control Panal) to see if another resolution will work for you.

Also, this may not be so abnormal for a source that is NOT widescreen to either display with black bands on left and right side --which may be normal for a source that is4:3 aspect.

Also , see if you can find a resolution listed on some video card that accomadates a wider aspect. My guess is both of you will need new Video cards --or accept a display that is not widescreen.

And you still need a source--such as a DVD that is widescreen, or it might get stretched with certain resolutions.
