Computer Problem out of the blue...(long post explaing problem)

Post is long but please please bear with me on this

First time on this site but not first time reader. I built my current computer back in September before I headed off to college with some very good components. When it was first built everything ran smoothly for months up to last week where i started seeing some weird things going on with windows clock, where it would be off by days, hours, or minutes. I reset clock thinking it might have been my fault but it caused problems with some games that depend on the time on windows. So i got clockmon program to keep windows time in sync with bios timer. This program for some reason would cause all my programs stutter for awhile than cause whole computer to freeze leading me to restart computer.
This is when i figured I'll update bios to latest. Having the Gigabyte 965p ds3 rev 1.0 i updated to F7. This seemed to solve the problem of the stuttering. The following day I restarted my computer only to find that it would not post at all even after several times of restarting it. So it lead me to believe the bios may be causing this, so I reset cmos by removing battery for a couple of minutes which was not easy due to needing to remove video card to get to the battery. Computer than was able to post again. Computer was working perfectly after that up to the next day where it would not post again. I reset cmos and it worked fine again.
This week it seemed like the problem was solved but the problem emerged again but only worse. I tried reseting the cmos but that didn't work so I went and started checking connections and that seemed to fix it for awhile. I decided to connect my cases sound wires to motherboard which i did not do before. This allowed me to hear the beeping sound of the errors. I got one long beep and 2 short ones which I looked up and found that it meant video card error. So i reseated the video card and made sure it was in place well only to find out that doing that did not solve the problem. I kept getting video errors.
After getting very frustrated I left it over night only to find that in the morning it worked perfectly only to come to the problem that windows would not load up after getting to blue welcome screen. I restarted computer with last good config. which solved the problem. I changed bios updates several times seeing if that was the issue but the video error still was beeping every time. This lead me to take everything apart and put everything together again only to find out that it didn't work still. After ripping my hair out doing different things to get computer to post and load windows such as removing memory, reseting video card, disconnecting power to motherboard, and giving it a few "lovetaps" I figured it just might be my video card that is broken. So i started wiggling it around when computer started and then the miracle happened my computer would boot up with no problem. It would sometimes take several times restarting and wiggling video card in its slot but It would start.
This has been my problem so far which at the moment has lead me to reformat and reinstall windows xp on my computer but the video card error still persists. I am gong to get my friends video card and use his on my computer and have him use mine on his computer seeing if it is the video card causing the video error or might be that the motherboard slot for some reason is not making good contact with card.
I know this was a long post but I needed to get out all the issues leading up to the demise of my computer. On another note I need this computer to be working well enough by end of holiday season when i return to school. I'm at my wits end trying to figure this out. Please any help would be appreciated.

Merry Christmas
