Access Denied to Old Documents Folder

I was helping a friend with her computer, it has had many problems with her Windows XP Home mostly from her kids downloading/installing things that they shouldn't be, it was overloaded with many programs and just about everything under the sun could be wrong with it, well finally it crapped out and will only boot in Safe Mode. Well to save me time and hassle, I got her upgraded to Windows XP Professional, I didn't do the upgrade from Home, instead I made a new Windows folder and it can at the moment boot either one, I left it like this just for now until the XP Pro is all setup and done with, but I have ran into one problem, on their Windows Home, each person had their own profile, they all didn't have a password on them except for one, and what I was doing was transfering all of their documents from the Windows Home to the Professional so all they will have to do is go into their "My Documents" and find what they are looking for in the same place they used to, but it doesnt even let me into the passworded folder to transfer it, it will always just say Access is Denied, and I can't see a way to take the password off or get into that account on the Home because of the Safe Mode, I think it only lets you get on the Admins. So I know I rambled on for quite a while, but any ideas?
