As was already mentioned, I think writing "Hey, thanks that worked" accomplishes all that is necessary. It let's everyone know that the problem was solved for future reference, and you're getting to show your appreciation for the help. I think that having an "issue solved" label on a thread is a GREAT idea.. !!
