I would say to try the new Ubuntu.. the Beryl display effects
are amazing and it's very easy to use!




...there are so many distributions, but you want one that is going to allow you to function without much trouble.

Washe has some good advice there.. if you don't have an extra drive to install to make sure that you partition it ahead of time. You will need at leats 5 gigs for Ubuntu, and maybe 6 for Ubuntu Studio - which is VERY cool.

Also, make sure that if you use a separate drive for Ubuntu that it is the MASTER (jumpers), as GRUB requires that to work properly.
