Can you explain more clearly what you did exactly because I am still baffled at this problem. If I could download Firefox I would but ie doesnt allow me to downoad anything because of the security setting, which I can't lower past medium.

Im to the point where I may just reinstall XP and see if I can ie to download from sites again.
