Knoppix 5.1.1 Install Help

I downloaded Knoppix 5.1.1 DVD and burned the iso image to a DVD and booted my computer off it. When the computer boots off the DVD it seems to stop abruptly saying it cannot find /cdrom/.... and then gives me a knoppix prompt with six commands I can use. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong?

More details, wehn it boots off the DVD, I get a peguin in the top left corner then it says:

Dropping you to a (very limited) shell.
Press reset button to quit.
