Thanks for the reply, Dhakir. However, I haven't got a clue as to why the hard drive does not release. I removed both screws, pulled on the tab from left to right so the hard drive disconnects from the laptop and pulled the tab as to release the hard drive to try and bring it out but still no luck. I think it is jammed somehow.. haven't the faintest of ideas..

Edit: I managed to release the hard drive with the use of a pair of pliers . The only thing now is, I need to get the hard drive out of the holder/case (metal casing) but there are 2 pins holding the hard drive in place. I'm not sure as to how to remove the pins.. The service manual calls them "M2.0 x 10.0 alignment pins". It says I need a 4.0mm socket, but I don't know what that is.. Anybody know what to do? Thanks in advance.
