The problem is that without the fence, all the amnesty laws will go steaming forward while enforcement is ignored just like before.

We cannot trust the congress to "do the right thing", as they have shown in the past they will stick a knife in us as soon as they have a safe seat.

I just don't buy the argument that because they are here, somehow they have "grandfathered" into legality. We don't need to create more poor people, which is what you end up creating with a competitive job market where one faction will work any hours under any conditions for any paycheck.

Getting the illegals out will be inflationary, but we need to bite the bullet. Raising the cost of labor is no different than raising taxes - prices will go up particularly. But we will just have to suck it up and accept the reality of a level playing field of wage rates where a shortage will create higher wages for legal workers.

Seriously, the question is: What do we do with the next 14 million who come streaming in after this amnesty?
