Nice one EXreaction, so its Norton that the primary problem.
The malware files you specified belong to my Creative Webcam, it's some kind of lauch file, it won't let me delete it.
By the way, I've ordered my 1GB stick, should be getting to me by Tuesday.
I don't mind switching to anything else, but how do I know that other software will do the same job as Norton? No doubt it uses up alot of system resources, but it does a good job, doesn't it? - I haven't had any security kind of security breach since its install.
But you what, I'll give it a shot anyway, all for the intention of restoring my laptop's original speed.
RamonGTP, I know now at this stage that OC'ing isn't the solution. Though, I wouldn't mind considering it, even if it was going to do very little to the performance of my laptop (after the improvements ofcourse).
After installing a total of 1.5GB and cleaning up the system, bumping the speed of a 1.7GHz to a 1.8GHz or even 2.0GHz, wouldn't hurt, would it? Anyway, let get the first bit out the way, then we'll talk OC'ing.
