Hi, I am new here, so thankyou for letting me post my question in this forum.
I know this question has been asked a million times before, but I was hoping for a more specific answer regarding my situation. I have been running a AMD Sempron 2500+ 1.7 GHz, 1GB Ram and an ATi x1600 512MB Pro graphics card for quite some time now. I am running windows Vista ultimate perfectly fine with ATi's new drivers and have had no conflicts. I am a gamer, and I was hoping for an upgrade soon. I've been shopping around looking for parts to replace my main gaming parts in my computer. I didn't want to go through the hassle to completely buy a new compter which means getting another moniter, keyboard, mouse, harddrives, etc. I've mostly been looking on Tigerdirect.ca for parts. Good prices. Anyway, I narrowed down my choices for upgrades: an AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 Dual Core, 2 GB of Corsair Dual Channel DDR2 800 MHZ, some mother board (didn't take to much time to choose one, as long as it had PCI-E and 4 ram slots and Socket AM2) but for a graphics card, I am torn apart from choosing to get a Nvidia 8800 GTS (640 MB) or a GTX (768MB). With a 150$ price difference, I am not sure. Is the extra money worth it. When I get this computer, I want to be able to play games such as Oblivion and COH, BioShock and AOE3 and even Crysis on high settings. I don't want to have to go back to choosing medicore settings anymore. What do you think?
