Yeah, that's a toughy. I have a Canon MXP 780 with I'm sure is a similar door.
Maybe try to dust it out...I would remove cartridges and VERY LIGHTHLY and VERY CAREFULLY spray some compressed air around.
I feel though, that it's a bad sensor of some type  |
