I am thinking of going with what evil Rick said, and I am going to download from

Is the switch hard from Windows to Linux??

Also, I'll probably need help on how to set up and connect to net works. Especially since I am using a Dell laptop, and I will need to connect to my school wireless network. I hope it is not too hard.

EDIT: when I look at the download, it aks if I have a 64 bit computer. I have a laptop with an core2 duo. That is 64 bit right?

also which one should I download?

Ubuntu 7.10 - Supported to 2009
Ubuntu 6.06 LTS - Supported to 2009
