The ink is stored in a 'tank' not a whole 'cartridge' as HP use to do (w/ print head). I would cap off the bottom port and tape the 'breather' hole.
BUT, I'm most concerned about the separate print head assembly ($50 replacement). I know if it is left without any ink flowing through it, it will dry out. I'm was thinking about soaking it in 'Windex' or Isopropyl Alcohol and a few hours and let it dry then seal it in a plastic pouch.
BTW; the printer would be stored in a unheated attic. Temp. range 20-100 degrees.
