You may also wish to try adjusting your TCP stack as well. Do not adjust over you ISP advertised speed! If you have a 6 MbPS connection, then only use an adjustment of 6 to 6.5, no more.


Now I use this patch to adjust my half open connections to 50. I hear it helps torrent traffic and the like. The grabasstic idea of M$ reducing it down to 10 because of the threat of spreading a virus infection is absurd.

As Rob was saying, I don't use Bit torrent much either. My client is Utorrent. I run it in a virtual machine where Limewire and all the other "potential" nasty software resides.

I have owned the L version coming up to a year so far and love it! Keep in mind that re-flashing the L version is a two step process that you will discover on the DD-WRT website. This is due to the memory size.
