| Genome@home project is merging with the Folding@home team
Well folk looks like the combined client is gonna be here very shortly, beta versions available
For the Folding team it is not going to be much of a difference but for the Genome team it's gonna mean that we have to make some choices. GAH 3 is a new project. Like FAH 2 was. We might have a chance of getting higher on this new project and staying there but this is going to be the biggest problem with the new client I think. Quote:
Can I nonet/sneakernet with Folding@home3.0?
No, not in the same way as the G@h0.99 client. This is one of the reasons that we're continuing with Genome@home Classic, for all the hardcore nonetters out there!
| The current client will still run 'for the forseeable future' and will keep it's current stats page.
We will have to decide as a team whether we will move to the new project or stick with the old. My problem is that I will need to change my machines before the end of june.
Well any ideas?
