In the name of research I am going to go play some xbox so that my computer can crunch more... :-)
P.S. I have a Core Duo (the original, not a core 2 duo), and it only seems to be using 60% of my cpu. Do I have to run 2 instances, one for each core? If so, is that possible with the regular F@H client that I downloaded or do I need one of the Betas or something? | I don't think that the SMP client works for dual cores. Most people that I have seen will run 2 instances at once on their duallies, usually the console ones. I run 4 instances on my quaddie by sneakernet, works great. I would suggest the console one for easier management . . . but thats just my preference.
In otherwords - run 2 clients and get more pts! |
