Exactly. Unless your car requires it from the factory, (or as stated previously, is knocking on lower octane) there are zero benefits to running anything about 87.

Btw, how did that tune end up going for you? You claim it's a quicker car, but how are the gains? You thinking minor numbers or are you talking more serious numbers. I would hope advancing the timing by a good margin on that 4.6L would gain you at the least 10hp/10ftlbs with a good tune.
