One thing I've always wondered about Obama... how can someone hoping to lead a party that's spent the last 50 years using identity politics to divide America into competing racial, sexual, ethnic and economic groups suddenly going to unite the country... are the Democrats going to stop playing the race card at every opportunity, stop affirmative action, stop the class warfare that's been a staple of their politics?

The Democrats have been doing that?
1) I guess you never heard of the Southern Strategy.
2) Yes, there is class warfare. The Reps have been tilting the scale towards the upper crust for a long time resulting in a widening income gap. But nobody seems to object to it until what was lost is attempted to be recovered. Then, the wealthy get off their yachts and private planes and yell, "they're waging class warfare."
