Terrible support, designed to last for the warranty duration. That's my experience with anything carrying a Sony badge in the last 15 years, but especially their Computer sector is really really bad. There is one thing Sony is good at: Playstation.

Also remember. CPU is not that important in a laptop. In two years your greatest and latest today will be junk anyway, so don't overspent. However you'll be still stuck with the same screen and battery, so make sure you get the best of both. HD and memory should be easily upgradable too, especially RAM (some cheap laptops do not have provision for additional ram, you need to remove the one it comes with).

As for sony, others will swear by it, and flame me, but it is my experience with more than 80 different items made by them, but I repeat their worst is their support! And this is true for their monitors too! (ohh just don't get me started with them ....

)
