| Hitachi Blu-ray Recorder to 'Wooo' Consumers?
The newly announced Hitachi Wooo DV BH250 Digital Video Recorder features both a 250GB hard drive and an optical drive with burn support for DVD-R/RW/RAM and BD-R/RE disc formats. The Wooo is slated for a Japanese market launch next month, though pricing and possible United States availability remain to be seen. Quote:
Besides a daft name, the Wooo DV BH250, is a fairly interesting machine with up to 250GB of space. It has an HDMI output and will compress the HD signal with AVCREC so that you can record onto normal DVDs as well.
