On a personal note, I suppose the gas card would benefit me the most in the near term since I already have a decent selection of firearms.

Too bad the gas card is not for a fixed number of gallons instead of a fixed price. If gallons, hold on to it for a few months, and you would probably get a better rate of return than a basic money market savings account.
