Running Win xp pro sp3 on laptop in wireless network using Intel pro/wireless 2200bg network connection wireless adapter. Went to Intel site and downloaded latest driver. Unzipped files. Saw 2 .exe files. Ran both. Restarted. Went to device manager. Date of driver is later than date I bought the computer but neither date nor version of driver is what I downloaded nor what I thought I had installed. Adapter still works fine. Any edification would be greatly appreciated.
