Back to the topic...
I don't know what it's like to be interrogated, and you probably don't either. Maybe McCain has repressed those memories from 35+ years ago. Maybe during the course of interrogation, his mind is elsewhere. Maybe other things are more important today than remembering what NFL team's roster he recited in Vietnam.
As Toadman said, you're grasping at straws, and stupid bullshit like this is why our whole political system is a joke. Don't focus on issues...who cares about that anyway?
For someone who served and fought for our freedoms - for our right to vote - I would think you'd have a little more reverence; a little more insight, and not vote against someone because he's "old". I guess I expect too much. | I want someone who lives in the reality of our times. Do you honestly think that Sen. McCain will be making his OWN decisions ??? Just like Obomba , they'll be run the Karl Roves and the lobbyists having to take their orders like good little soldiers. Bush went to war on "mis-information"( LIES) If he, indeed, would have thought for himself and weighed ALL the consequences and not have been so head strong , most likely our country and the middle east wouldn't be in the unescapeable situation we find ourselves in. The issues don't mean anything because they'll never be addressed, washed over and hidden with rose colored glasses. My main beef with him( McCain ) is his consistent rebuke of our Veterans having suffered as many of our boys are now suffering. He didn't even show up for the vote on the college benefit extension. Wants guys who can't walk or see or need psychological help to pay back their signing bonus and cheat them out of their health care because they can't fight anymore.( Not to mention pay for their meals while being patched back together and discharged with no follow up treatment) After seeing the the ravages of war and the human toll of the Viet Nam war, I'm appalled the way our politicians are so casual and turn a cold shoulder to those that can't even fend for themselves. When I see our Vets being treated right , then maybe I'll have a little more "reverence" for these sorry bastards that fund money for a gold schitt house or have a study on a bridge to nowhere. When's the last time you, yourself, went to a VA hospital and seen , firsthand, the human tragedy that war reaps????????

I'm a LUCKY one. I go next Wednesday to have my semi-annual check up. I can WALK in and am able to communicate with my nurse-practitioner . A lot of guys can't. It hurts deeply to go and see the sights that one sees at the VA hospital. I'd volunteer but don't have the mental fortitude. I feel guilty because I can't participate for the effect it will have on me and my family.
