I used to take a stance more like Beemer regarding abortion, but I'm starting to see the futility in being so severely devided on the issue. To be quick on my take and avoid turning this into an abortion debate, the two sides need to come to a...yup, compromise. There needs to be a point at which a fetus is considered a baby, then move the latest possible abortion term 2-3 weeks prior to that for a buffer, and make it so that after that point the fetus is a living being. I don't know if most of the religious zealots would be willing to make such a compromise, but I really feel there are far more freedoms on the table than abortions so I cannot dismiss the few people who are standing up for what I believe in simply because they are imperfect or not 100% on track with my beliefs. Yes, he's supported racism in a manner I find completely abhorant to freedom, and he's brought religion into a document that had no religion in it. But I MUST support those who are more honest and coherent in matters that I see far superior to these failings. I will gladly put RP aside and support a better candidate when I find one - this isn't about winning, this is about bringing integrity and freedom back to the table.

There are enough differences between those I currently stand behind to help diversify against these shortcomings, however it is ultimately needed that We [All] The People start to realize that politics can't be left to the corrupt and ignorant - we must all start taking part as it is politics that rule our lives from every aspect, and oppression is only becoming more severe as we use the insanely pathetic excuse that politics are too corrupt for us - essentially admitting there's a problem and somehow rationalizing that means we should NOT be addressing the problem because we think we know how to fix it. That last part wasn't directed at you Beemer...I think that's what we call a poor segue.

Back to Ron Paul and so many of the messages that he supports that I feel address the core of the degradation of our freedoms as we progress into our own Nazi/Stalin like era.
