Foxconn SMBus (Card Reader) Disabled??

Hi,

I have a foxconn C51XEM2AA, with a 3-in-1 card reader in the front of the case. It runs a dual-boot between WinXP Pro SP3 and Vista Business SP1.

I know that in the past this reader has appeared as four additional drives in my Explorer view, but for some reason they are no longer showing up.

At first I thought I had messed up Windows XP, but when I checked in Vista, it doesn't show up there either.

I thought I had perhaps disabled them somehow in the BIOS, but there is no such option.

I have installed (and reinstalled) the latest Foxconn drivers for this motherboard, which includes the SMBus drivers.

I have also tried using Add New Hardware to see if somehow they have been uninstalled. They do not appear in my Device Manager as disabled components.

What should they appear as (i.e. name) in my device manager??

I also checked in Services for WinXP, because there are a couple in there that suggest they allow detection of Smart Cards, so I went in and made sure I re-enabled some that had been turned off, but that appears to have had no effect.

Are there any other places that I may have managed to disable the reader??

Regards,
Rob.
