Ughhh... hold on ... The first thing that needs to be established is what the current PSU IS...
And he should be able to tell us at least the basic specs, or at least post a pic of the interior...
He also probably doesnt need to spend that much at all!
Either of these would probably more than suffice, IF thats even the problem.

No-one did ANY troubleshooting here first...
