Large families may have been the norm but at any time in history people would have been impressed that this womans hoo hoo did not simply fall off by now.
PS as far as teen rebellion... that is not a problem because there are other kids to keep them in check. the older teens help the younger teens blah blah blah... the parents are not doing the child rearing completely any longer.
Having just had babby whooops (a surprise baby in my 40' s) I find that the older kids are quite the break from the demands of parenting. I have two daughters that can actually watch the little guy for a few hours while we escape. woooohooooo! |
